Ryan Brown---> Soundtrack Of A Normal Day

Let me tell you something. I listen to my iPod Touch for a good two to three solid hours everyday. And when I'm not on www.leakjones.com to see what is current in the hip-hop world and doing homework, I'm usually cranking something in my car (or walking to class) from the late 80's/early 90's. But on a normal day this would probably be my soundtrack.

I usually wake up in the morning with my headphones on, my iPod usually dead from letting it play all night. So I put my iPod on the charger and hop in the shower. Before I EVEN get dressed, I play something to prepare me for the day. Something from The Tribe Called Quest (Electric Relaxtion or Find A Way) is always good to get dressed to.

If I have to work in the morning, I usually ride to work to something to get me hype for being up early. As of recently it would be to the tune of F.L.Y.'s Swag Surfin, Hurricane Chris' She Fine (Halle Berry) but you can't go wrong with Lil' Wayne (Always Strapped or I'm Goin In) or Asher Roth (Be By Myself or The Lounge) or Wale (Ice Cream Girl or Chillin).

If I'm walking to class, you really can't go wrong with some slow R&B (something to the tune of Drake's Sooner Than Later and Little Bit or Jeremih's Birthday Sex or something from Maxwell or Genuine). Leaving class is a whole different genre. I prefer something from the rock persuasion. Chester French has been a relatively new favorite (Jacques Jams Mixtape, C'Mon, Bebe Buell, Time To Unwind), but I always like The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Under The Bridge or Strip My Mind) and Rage Against The Machine (anything from Utero)

Coming from work/class it varies tremendously on my mood. When I'm dead tired I need something soft on the ears with not much heavy bass (Q-Tip's The Renaisssance is a favorite along with softer jams by N.E.R.D.), but when I'm annoyed or in a pissed off mood ANYTHING by the Notorious B.I.G. is worth throwing on. From Ready To Die (Warning and Big Poppa) to the Biggie Duets (Spit Ya Game). Eminem is always great too because it always makes me feel better about my own life (Drug Ballad or Criminal). Pink Floyd and Big Pun is always good to hear when I'm trying to knock out some homework.

Getting ready to go out I love anything current. Something that's going to be played at the party/club. Something that I have to learn the new dance to. Shit that I downloaded this morning, that I didn't get a chance to listen to yet. Something that will make Bradley run upstairs and pop through my door and ask what the hell are you listening to??? As of lately thats the Kid Cudi's (Dat Kid From Cleveland Mixtape), the B.o.B's (Haterz Everywhere), Curren$y (This Aint A Mixtape), The Cool Kids (PLEASE DOWNLOAD 'Gone Fishing' here CANNONNNNN!),

Going to bed... again its always a toss up. All I do is flip to a full album, turn the TV off, turn the iPod to kinda low and just dream beautiful thoughts. 808's and Heartbreak by Kanye West has been a heavy favorite since November, because the music just takes you away to another planet. T.I.'s Paper Trail is a close second because I can listen to every song. Rhoads 17's Sex On Speakers (S.O.S.) is great to listen to when I'm going to bed angry lol. You gotta love your own masterpiece. Last thing I can think of falling to bed to is Drake's So Far Gone Mixtape (which is a heavy HEAVY candidate for mixtape of the year) DOWNLOAD HEREEEEE. Have a good oneeee
