About The Mixtape + Tracklist

“My mixtape tells the story of just one talented and determined young man who feels he has a lot to prove outside of music. At first I wanted it to be more of short story, but as I started to progress (when it came to my writing and exploring the beats) it became an 18 track story. Each track you can feel the growth of the young man. He starts as a college kid who wants to live the college life of girls, partying, drinking and drugging until he meets that one special girl and he decides he wants to make the ultimate commitment sooner rather than later. The overall tape is really relaxed, there are a couple tracks that have been heard before but the majority of it is new stuff I plan on recording this fall semester. I wanted to add some of the most amazing artists to this tape and some of it is their music, but everything is perfectly placed for the theme of the story I am trying to tell. It’s not the most amazing love story, but the thing that is going to make this mixtape much different is that this overall story has never been covered. We will always have the stories of the killers, the hustlers and drug dealers, but that is not who I am or the story I am trying to tell. This is just a honest story with good music that I hope everyone will like. It’s titled ‘How Do You Feel About That??’ because it is basically not a story that is explored in hip-hop. It is a little bit more than hip hop in some elements and tracks and I want people’s honest opinion about the mixtape and the story that is behind. This might be my first and last mixtape and I just want people to enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed telling the story. I love music and this is going to be my definition of what music is to me.”
